Keep the phone answered and the tables full.

Restaurants and hospitality businesses run on thin margins and busy staff. During a rush, nobody has time to answer the phone, reply to a catering inquiry, respond to reviews or count inventory. AI can cover the phone and messages, keep guests coming back, and help you watch food costs and stock without adding headcount.

What we fix first

Phone and message coverage during the rush

The problem: Calls for hours, reservations, takeout and directions go unanswered when the team is slammed.

The fix: An AI host answers the phone and website chat, handles reservations and common questions, and sends a text link for online ordering. Anything unusual goes to a manager.

What changes: Fewer missed calls during peak hours and fewer interruptions for staff on the floor.

Catering and event inquiries answered same day

The problem: Larger, higher-value orders come in by email or form and wait days for a reply and a quote.

The fix: AI responds right away, collects date, headcount, menu preferences and budget, drafts a quote from your packages, and follows up until the guest decides.

What changes: Faster responses on your largest orders, without the owner writing quotes at midnight.

Reviews answered, regulars brought back

The problem: Reviews go unanswered and past guests never hear from you.

The fix: Every review gets a drafted reply for approval, unhappy guests are routed to a manager privately, and guest email and text campaigns promote slow nights, specials and events.

What changes: A better online reputation and more repeat visits on the nights you need them.

Inventory and food-cost watch

The problem: Counts are done by hand, orders are guesswork, and waste goes unnoticed.

The fix: Sales data and counts are tracked together to suggest order quantities, flag items running low, and highlight menu items whose costs are rising.

What changes: Fewer emergency runs to the supplier and a clearer view of where margin is going.

Staff scheduling and training

The problem: Building the schedule and training new hires eats manager time every week.

The fix: Shift scheduling based on forecasted traffic and availability, plus a staff assistant that answers recipe, opening and closing, and policy questions for new hires.

What changes: Managers spend less time on the schedule and repeating training, and more time on the floor.

Do this week

  1. Record a new voicemail greeting that gives your hours, address and online ordering link, so callers get answers even when nobody picks up.
  2. Reply to every Google review from the past month, positive and negative.
  3. Claim and update your listings on Google, Yelp and any delivery apps with current hours and menu.
  4. Pick your ten highest-cost ingredients and count them weekly for a month to see where waste happens.
  5. Start collecting guest emails or phone numbers with a simple sign-up for a birthday offer or event notice.

Numbers to watch

  • Calls answered vs. missed during service
  • Catering inquiries answered same day and close rate
  • Average review rating and response rate
  • Food cost as a share of sales, tracked weekly
  • Repeat guest visits

By team size

Just you
For a food truck, cafe or single-owner shop, start with phone and message coverage plus review replies. These cost you guests every day you don't have them.
2–10 people
With a small team, add catering inquiry response and simple guest marketing to fill slower days.
11–50 people
With a full staff, inventory and food-cost tracking plus scheduling help usually pay off fastest, alongside phone coverage.
51–250 people
At this size, standardize guest communication and reporting, and connect your point-of-sale data to dashboards that show labor and food cost by day.
250+ people
With multiple locations, a shared phone and reservation layer and side-by-side location reporting help you spot what's working and spread it.

Questions owners ask

Can AI take phone orders?

It can take orders where your ordering system allows, or send the caller a text link to order online, which is often more accurate. We look at what your point-of-sale supports during scoping.

Does it work with our point-of-sale system?

Many restaurant POS systems can share sales data and connect to reservations. We confirm what yours supports and work around gaps with exports.

Will AI reply to reviews without me seeing them?

Only if you want it to. Most owners approve every reply with one tap, at least at first, and the AI never publishes anything on negative reviews without approval.

What about allergy questions?

The AI only shares allergen information you've approved, and it tells guests to confirm with staff on arrival. Anything it isn't sure about goes to a person.
