Automate Social Content

Post consistently without living on social media. How to use AI to plan, draft and schedule posts from the work you already do.

Most owners know they should post more. Few have time to think of something to say every week. AI can turn the work you already do into a steady flow of posts, with you approving each one.

What it does

  • Turns photos, jobs, reviews, and questions into draft posts
  • Plans a month of content around themes that fit your business
  • Adapts one idea for different platforms
  • Schedules approved posts to go out automatically

Before you start

  • Pick one or two platforms where your customers actually are. Doing two well beats doing five badly.
  • Write down your voice: three words that describe how you talk to customers, and a few phrases you'd never use.
  • Collect raw material: job photos, common customer questions, recent reviews, and behind-the-scenes moments.

Step by step

1. Set up a content bank

Create one shared folder or note where you and your team drop photos and ideas as they happen. This is the fuel.

2. Choose a few repeating themes

For example: a finished job, a common question answered, a team member spotlight, a customer review (with permission), and a tip. Themes make planning easy.

3. Draft with AI

Give an AI writing tool your voice notes, a theme, and the raw material, and ask for a draft. Edit it until it sounds like you. Over time, save your best prompts.

4. Schedule

Use a scheduling tool, or the platform's built-in scheduler, to queue a week or a month of approved posts.

5. Review once a week

Spend 15 minutes a week checking what's going out and replying to comments and messages. Automation shouldn't mean nobody's home.

Rules to follow

  • Approve every post. AI can get facts wrong or say something off-tone.
  • Get permission before posting customers, their homes, their faces, or their reviews by name.
  • Don't post anything you couldn't back up, such as prices, guarantees, or before-and-after claims.
  • Use only images you have rights to. Your own photos are safest.
  • Disclose partnerships and paid promotions clearly when they apply.

What to measure

  • Posts published per month
  • Messages and calls that mention social media
  • Profile visits and follower growth (secondary)
  • Hours spent on social media per week

Focus on whether posts bring in inquiries, not just likes.
