You probably know another owner who's in a tough spot. The referral program lets you point them to the contest, and rewards you if they win.
The basics
- You get a unique referral link. Every applicant has one. You'll find yours in Rescue HQ.
- You share it with businesses you think could use a rescue.
- They apply through your link. That's how we know you referred them.
- If a business you referred wins the Grand Prize, you receive $25,000 in AI services for your own business.

Who receives the bonus
The referrer can be an individual or a business entity. Under the Official Rules, it's your election which one receives the bonus. The services are scoped to the referrer's own business and can't be exchanged for cash.
Single-hop only
Only the direct referrer gets the bonus. If A refers B, B refers C, and C wins, only B receives the referral bonus. A does not.
Inviting people from the application
The application form also lets you enter a limited number of email addresses for people you'd like to invite. The form shows how many invites you have left. We send each person one invitation email on your behalf, mentioning your name.
Only enter people you know who'd reasonably welcome hearing about the contest. Please read Inviting Other Businesses the Right Way first.
Does referring help my own application?
No. Referrals are not one of the judging criteria in the Official Rules. Referring ten businesses won't raise your score, and referring none won't lower it. Refer people because you think the contest could help them.
Does the business I refer have to be eligible?
Yes. They have to meet all the eligibility requirements on their own. See Eligibility, Explained. A referred business that isn't eligible can't win, and so can't earn you the bonus.
Tracking your referrals
Rescue HQ shows your referral link and your referral activity. If someone tells you they applied through your link but you don't see it reflected, email hello@aiventureholdings.com with their business name and we'll look into it.
Fair play
Our Terms of Service prohibit attempts to manipulate referral attribution. That includes creating fake applications, buying sign-ups, or misleading people about what the contest is.
